Phoenix Residential Treatment Services is a residential program for children who are capable of residing in a family based environment with varying degrees of clinical support. Phoenix will accept children with no significant restrictions on age, sex, length of stay, wardship, status or family history.
Phoenix has three levels of foster care service. Each level varies according to the degree of clinical support that is necessary to maintain the child. All children placed in Phoenix will be initially placed at Level III (unless otherwise negotiated). A change in level may then be recommended and will be reviewed quarterly thereafter.
The Phoenix Clinical Support Team includes a supervising Clinical Co-ordinator, a team of Child Care Workers, consulting psychologists, consulting art therapist, parent therapists (foster parents) and the placing agency's social worker.
Additional resources such as individual counselling may be available at additional cost. Phoenix also provides a section 19 classroom for children unable to function in the regular classroom.
