Comment:
Bayfield’s Marmora St Program has been designed to provide a trauma based therapeutic, structured and supervised setting to address specific concerns of pre-adolescent and adolescent females and to utilize evidence based interventions. In keeping with Bayfield’s treatment philosophy based in Attachment Theory the program provides a residential milieu that promotes a sense of belonging, develops trust and mutual respect and fosters an appreciation for the rights of others. We believe in holistically treating the youth. To focus on the behaviour, to the exclusion of the precipitating factors, skill deficits, family relationships etc. would be an injustice to the youth. Of utmost importance is the development of genuine and healthy relationships which will form the foundation of all successful interventions.
