Comment:
The Eagle Rock Lodge Program has been designed within the Bayfield Treatment Philosophy to meet the needs of our native children and youth placed at Bayfield. It is a nine-bed program for children and youth aged 12-17. This program has been designed to manage extreme behaviours in a socially supportive, emotionally educational and psychologically therapeutic manner. The overall behaviour management program places a strong focus on strength-based programming with the child’s input and ownership of his behaviour, creating opportunities for success. We believe in providing holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, recreational and psychological needs of our children and youth. The Native culture is rich with symbolism and values that teach mutual respect, stewardship of each other and the planet, and interdependence in that we are all pieces of a larger environment.
