Sunbeam Lodge is a modern and uniquely designed care facility where our professional staff and caregivers are passionate in providing residential care and treatment for medically fragile children, youth and adults with severe developmental challenges and complex medical diagnosis.
We accept admissions for long term care, respite/relief and emergency placements with referrals from all ministry regions .
Our multi-disciplinary care approach offers many critical resources that incorporates nursing care, palliative care, therapeutic and developmental services designed to provide quality of life, comfort and personal developemntal potential by means of hydrotherapy, physical therapy, reflexology,music and massage therapy, infant developemnt, living skills, sensory leisure activities and an adult day program. Regularly scheduled in-house clinics include vison, neurological,orthopedic,mobility/seating,dental,
nutrition,and medical clinics conducted by carefully selected medical and therapeutic professionals.
Each resident has access to an educational program or day program designed to their needs, both in-house or in various community settings.
We respect family involvement and encourage them to be engaged in the lives of their child by their participation in the decision making and care planning process.Family members and agency professionals are provided 24 hr. visitation while the public is by appointment."
