AVALON HORIZONS PROGRAM

The Horizons Program opened in October, 2008. The treatment programming and client group is similar to that of the rural girls program (Avalon Specialized Services) however this program is geared to assisting teen girls who will be eventually moving to independent or semi-independent settings. Residents may have graduated from Avalon Specialized Services or they may be new referrals.

See Avalon Specialized Services Program overview for more information regarding aspects of the program.

We encourage placement workers who wish to place a youth at our facility to submit a referral package for review. If the individual will benefit from the program, a pre-placement visit including the youth’s Social Worker, potential candidate and family members (if applicable) will be arranged. If you would like a tour of our facility or more information, please feel free to contact Dawn Hunt @ (519) 836-7322.
