OARTY Professional Development Opportunities
Frontline residential care staff have a multitude of training options geared to their needs, however finding appropriate professional development opportunities for owners and senior staff can be a more elusive task. Thankfully, the Ontario Association of Residences Treating Youth (OARTY) offers three annual events geared towards senior management in residential care. Each year in October and February a General Meeting is held – a one day mini-conference format featuring engaging speakers, relevant information and opportunities for networking with colleagues. OARTY also holds a three day annual Conference in June, their key educational event combining robust programming, exciting social activities and plenty of opportunity to develop new connections and refresh existing ones.
