HST

The application of HST and how it impacts Independent Residential Service Providers (IRSPs) is currently the top priority for the OARTY Government and Public Affairs Committee. We are reviewing all available information and forwarding regular communications to our membership to keep members informed as we work together to address this pressing issue.

OARTY is working towards having our sector declared zero-rated, as we strongly believe that this will be the most favourable outcome for our sector.  Zero-rated status would mean that IRSPs would collect HST at a rate of 0% (thus no cost to CASs), and be reimbursed for the HST paid out on expenses. This initiative is ongoing and we will continue to keep members informed as to our progress.
