Research
Strategic Knowledge is Power. OARTY's 3-Year Strategic Plan incorporates research as a fundamental area that addresses a vital need within Ontario's Residential Care and Treatment sector:
Objective
OARTY to become the premier source for research for the residential care sector in Ontario
Strategy
Utilize research to authenticate, quantify and promote the value provided by residential care providers to key stakeholders
OARTY Projects/Reports
OARTY has conducted four major research projects: Partners in Care (PIC) I, II, III and IV. These powerful reports provide a detailed profile of the children placed in the care of OARTY agencies, and have been used extensively in OARTY's advocacy. Research for Partners in Care is undertaken on a biennial basis in order to ensure timely and relevant information on our sector is available.
OARTY's most recent research report, Partners in Care (PIC) IV was released in February of 2010. Please note that the full report and presentation are available for download by members only. Log on is required.
Print copies can be obtained by contacting the OARTY Office at 905-475-5437 ($30 for non-members, complimentary for member agencies. Additional copies for members are $15).
