Standards & Accreditation

Fundamental to the success of OARTY's 3-Year Strategic Plan is to achieve the following objective within the Plan's area entitled Standards and Accreditation:

Objective
To ensure that OARTY members are recognized as the leaders in the provision of high quality residential care in Ontario

Strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and promote highest industry standards
- Ensure that all OARTY members are accredited through 3rd party accreditation

CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) Project

In order to assist members in achieving these strategic directions, OARTY launched the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Project which provided information, education and direct support. This exciting initiative has enhanced and continues to add to the strength of member agencies and show the leadership of the private residential care sector to stakeholders.

CQI Member Training

OARTY’s successful Continuous Quality Improvement Project (CQI) has provided members with a variety of educational opportunities regarding outcomes management systems and accreditation. As a key outcome of this project, a selection of videos, webinars, manuals, and workbooks are now available; the new ACE website (a members-only document sharing resource exchange) also serves as an excellent source of information.
